Neighbors - Surreal Landscape Painting

$ 450.00

I like the shapes of houses and their symbols of home. Painting them gives me ideas about what sort of people live in them and what kind of community they have. With this painting, I wanted to focus on houses as a symbol of difference. That difference comes out not only in the shape of each house but in the difference in their roots. Although I show the houses as separated, each one contains someone staying up late. They are traveling in a group, and I imagine them as moving at the owner's will, being able to dock wherever they'd like, including joining with other houses. Seems like the full moon is the best time to fly.

This original surreal landscape painting is 16 x 20" on archival watercolor paper. It should be framed behind glass or acrylic.
