A witch stands on the edge of town and opens their arms to the streams of energy, charging up for a working. In the corner is a reminder of the witch's connection to the Underworld, and in the upper left-hand is the image of a spirit helper and their glowing gift. Above the witch is a face--perhaps of the target of this work, perhaps the witch's  own face straining in the hard the work of gathering energy to thrust out again. In this painting I let every image arise from the paint itself. The style is indeed reminiscent of German Expressionism. 

The original watercolor landscape painting is 16 x 20" on heavy cotton watercolor paper and should be framed behind glass.
