Mysterious ice fog rolls down steep hills on certain nights. When the fog hits the valley floor, everything is coated with a fine sheet of ice, turning the land ghostly. I based this painting on a photo I took in a wide valley after an ice fog had hit. I've noticed it often lies along the ground after it has drenched everything with frost. After the ice fog falls, the sky clears, which is why you can see the moon in this painting. 

 

The original oil painting is 12 x 36"/30 x 91cm on cotton canvas with a 3/4"/2cm profile and is ready to frame.
