Snowy Field Landscape Painting
This painting for me is all about the waiting that is winter, when plants and animals rest and recover their energy for the burst that is spring. I like the way the field in this view of the Adirondacks curves up and away like a living back. I have always loved the way trees look in winter without their leaves--a peculiar mixture of brown, grey, and lavender, and I tried to capture that here.
The original painting is oil on canvas, 24 x 24"/61 x 61cm with a 1.5"/ cm profile and is ready to frame. Archival prints on heavy watercolor paper are also available.
