Blue Cloud Landscape Painting and Prints
I love the endlessly looping edges of clouds and their ability to both focus sunlight around their edges and to seemingly increase their solidity until they are a heavy grey, even black. I never get tired of painting them. These clouds are joyous summer critters in blue and white, and even the cloud heavy with rain still looks blue. This is a new size for me in terms of painting, which allows me to explore extended views. Lots of my favorite cobalt blue with a touch of cobalt violet in this painting.
The original oil painting is 18 x 36"/46 x 91cm on canvas with a traditional .75"/2cm profile.
