Water Abstract Painting
I am always intrigued by water, a "soft" substance that can cut through solid rock and carve lakes and rivers from stone, using patience as its primary tool. Water is sensuous in itself, with its ripples and waves and reflections, but also in its work upon the rest of the material world. Here I've depicted deep, cold fresh water lakes running down a spine of mountains as well as the depths of salty ocean on either side.
The original painting is oil on canvas, 24 x 24"/61 x 61cm with a 3/4"/2 cm profile and is ready to frame.
