Hope of Transformation Surreal Art Prints

$ 30.00

I wanted to focus on hope during this difficult winter--hope for positive change and transformation. I see hope as something we preserve during dreary times, so I made a grey sea the background or this surreal landscape. Hope is a ball of energy that warms us and our surroundings and helps propel transformation. I thought about how we see that in the natural world: eggs that transform into birds, bulbs that transform into flowers, acorns that transform into trees, and chrysalises that transform into butterflies. All of these represent transformations from isolation to interacting with the world, from confinement to freedom. I chose to use egg patterns of three of my favorite springtime birds: grackle, cardinal, and robin. The bulb is a crocus bulb, quintessential springtime flower. Spring for me is a wonderful transformative time, a resurrection. This painting is a continuation of my series Vessels and my delving into magic realism.

The giclee prints are on 100% cotton archival fine art paper, colors are matched to the original by the artist, and they are signed on the back. The original acrylic painting, 18 x 24"/46 x 61cm on canvas with a 1.5" profile, has been sold.
