The Glow of Trees
I imagine the natural world to have a hidden glow that is only sometimes revealed to us, for example, in dreams or visions of trance. This painting was inspired by a real place, a marsh near a monastery, but I depicted it as if we were able to see not just the glow of the moon but of the trees themselves. Their glow and sparks of their living souls (as dead as they might seem on the material plane) ripple over the waters that look still materially. There is always something hidden, glowing with the spark of life, in our surroundings.
This original watercolor painting is 10.5 x 14.5"/27 x 36cm on heavy cotton watercolor paper and is ready to frame.
